Since 1974, David has been immersed in real estate, evolving from new home construction to commercial and residential real estate. While some consider real estate a job and others a career, it is truly a calling for David. He has closed over 6,000 real estate transactions with a career sales volume of over one billion dollars. Few in the real estate industry can match his experience, knowledge, and passion. It was that unique combination, combined with his deep desire to give back and serve the real estate industry, that drew the attention of one of the premier industry-specific training organizations, Star Power, and was inducted as a Star Power Star in 2021. Recently, he became a fully certified coach through Star Power, first becoming a better leader with his team and then better serving his community locally and industrywide.

David and his wife, Jane (Mennel), have been married since 1978 and are both lifelong residents of Indianapolis’ Southside. A graduate of Southport High School (Class of 1974), David grew up as a member of Faith United Church of Christ and then attended Southport Presbyterian Church. Over ten years ago, he and Jane joined Rocklane Christian Church, where they enjoy and are active in the Rocklane Riders Group and volunteer. They have always enjoyed living on and being a part of the Southside.

Jane retired from St. Francis/Franciscan Hospital after 45 years working in the pharmacy. She has also been a valuable team member of their real estate company, managing the accounting for over thirty years. They have two daughters, each of whom graduated from Perry Meridian High School and Butler University, and two sons-in-law and four grandchildren.

David is a passionate Father and Grandfather and takes family responsibility very seriously. As a business owner, He emphasizes prioritizing family and balancing life between home and work. Following their grandson Spencer’s diagnosis of Type One Diabetes in 2014 at the age of three, David has been active in supporting Type One Research and providing support for his grandson and family, as well as contributing to Riley Hospital for Children.

With over 50 years of experience in the housing industry, David’s in-depth knowledge of construction processes, new housing projects, and historical construction timelines is invaluable to his team and clients. He is a walking housing industry resource, able to recall houses and clients from decades ago and the details of their transactions.

David takes continuing education seriously and strives to be at the top of his game. He has spent countless hours learning about the latest technologies, home staging techniques, luxury home marketing strategies, and how best to assist those facing short sales or foreclosure. He specializes in working with sellers, assisting buyers, and aiding seniors with their moving needs.
